A spring wedding is a dream that most of us have nurtured in our hearts and want to execute in the most perfect of ways. The silky green grounds, the poppy hues of colorful blossoms, and the hide-and-seek breeze which is typical to springtime are some of the things that beckon the romantic hearts of many! The evidence of springtime magic can be seen in wedding invitations and spring proposals which seem to bloom in abundance, just like the flowers in the meadows! While there is no denying that spring has the mystical power to make everything a tad more magical, it does pose some concerns, especially when it comes to hairstyles and makeup! While you can always go for a lighter material or a breezier trend in your wedding dress to accommodate the warmer weather, it is the hair and makeup where things get a little tricky!
If you are from a more humid region of the country, chances are that you are no stranger to frizz. Styling your bridal hairstyle when it's frizzy and humid might be quite the challenge, but there are ways around it! There are many hairstyles available for you to choose from, especially when the climate is humid and the hair needs some extra love. After all, you don't want your bridal hairstyle to have a “Monica’s Barbados” moment, do you? Here are some hairstyles that you can choose from while choosing your perfect bridal fairytale hairstyle which is frizz-resistant!
Half Updo with Braided Crown
Finding the correct curly frizzy hairstyles and haircuts might be more difficult than you think, especially if you want to show off your curls and braids without the frizz. But, thankfully, there are various ways to accomplish this! The two messy, textured braids in the back connect in the center and crown the head over the flowing curls, giving you an angelic look. We promise you will love this hairstyle, no matter what your hair texture is, and it will be quite fitting for a garden wedding!
Fishtail/French Braid Combo
Long hair can be challenging to manage on a daily basis. You might want to consider going for a fishtail variant with two braids framing your face, which combines beautifully into a french braid. This is a fantastic technique to keep those wayward pets under control while also creating an appearance that is both casual and elegant, useful and enjoyable!
Diagonally Braided Updo with Bun
Braided hairstyles not only give depth and romanticism to a look, but they're also incredibly easy to style once you've mastered it! This braided bun is a great look for a more formal event, such as a wedding, and is sure to leave everyone enraptured. The base of a wide French braid with only 4-5 plaits ends in a textured bun. Some of the natural shade shines through, giving the hairstyle more dimension.
Voluminous ponytail
A ponytail will never let you down and if you are unsure about your hairstyle, this is the safest bet! A voluminous ponytail might be tough to achieve when your hair is thin. To produce the illusion of a thicker bunch, teasing and wrapping the ponytail with a strand of hair from the beneath are used. After that, the ends are teased for further lift. To make your look more exciting, pair it with any bridal look under the sun because it's impossible to go wrong with this one.
Double Braided Headband
When it comes to frizzy hairstyles, it's easy to believe braids are impossible to keep neat with such a wavy texture. However, this is a perfect example of a double surface fishtail braid, which maintains all those strands together up top while allowing your natural-looking waves to float over your neck and shoulders.
Short Hair With a Front Tuft
This short hair with a tuft that's skillfully cut to give an attitude can't get any cooler. Shorter hairstyles for frizzy hair may not necessitate as much thorough shampooing and effort spent restoring shine and smoothness as longer frizzly waves do, but we still find it appealing. This is a great "do" for frizzy, shorter hair with an 80s spin!
Faux Knot Braid
The Faux Knot Braid is the go-to hairstyle for when you don't know what else to do with your hair and you are a carefree bride who intends to spend the night dancing and having a blast! Even though it appears to be quite complicated, it is extremely easy to make on your own. Braids have a way of keeping frizzy hair in check, so this is our fancy go-to hairstyle.
The Double Knot
Looking for a quick and easy way to add some natural curls to your look? Take a small chunk from the right side and another from the left side. Bring them to the back of your head and tie a knot, then leave a small gap and tie another knot right below the first. To keep the last knot in place, use a bobby pin or two. Because of the texture, this should hold with curly hair, but if you think it will be unstable, add another bobby pin and a little hairspray.
Dutch Braided Bun
If the medieval princess is more your style, try wearing this beautiful Game of Thrones-inspired haircut. Two French braids wrap around your head and come together in a small low bun. The bun and braids are perfectly symmetrical in their arrangement. Start by spraying texturizing spray all over your freshly washed and dried hair. Then part your hair in half and divide it into two portions on either side of your face. Pick up a 2-inch chunk of hair around your temple from the left portion and begin dutch braiding. Simply braid your braid until it reaches the end of your head, fasten it with a hair elastic, then repeat steps 3 to 5 on the other side. One braid should be rolled into a flat bun and secured to your head with bobby pins from all sides. Roll the second bun into a flat bun and place it on top of the first, securing it with bobby pins. To keep the updo in place, spray it with a light hold hair spray.
Inverted French Braid Bun
You've French braided your hair from the front as well as the sides. Have you ever considered French braiding your hair from the nape of your neck? The cool braided bun is a fantastic idea. Begin by spritzing texturizing spray all over your freshly washed and dried hair, then bending your head and flipping all of your hair in front of you. Start French braiding with a 3-inch section of hair from the base of your neck. Simply braid your French braid to the finish and fasten it with a hair elastic once it has gone past your ears. Comb the rest of your hair back and twist it into a French braid. Roll all of your braided hair into a bun at the top of your head and fasten it with bobby pins from all sides. To keep the bun from falling throughout the day, spritz it with a high-hold hair spray.
Interwoven Crown Braid
Simple braids have been used to create milkmaid braids. Have you seen these done with fishtail braids, though? The braids atop your head make you look like you're wearing a crown, so this hairstyle will make you feel like the queen you are. Start by spraying some texturizing spray on your freshly washed and dried hair. Part your hair in the middle and divide it into two portions, one on each side, before tying both sections into ponytails. Fishtail braid your left ponytail by pulling up a thin section of hair from the outside of one segment and putting it to the inside of the other. Repeat the process with the other ponytail, securing the end with a hairband. Cut the hair elastics at the top of both ponytails, drape the right braid across the top of your head, above/behind your left ear, and fasten it with bobby pins. With your left braid, repeat the previous step. Finish off the look by taking out a few wisps of hair from above your ears, and a few spritzes of medium hold hair spray. The effect will be gorgeous in a whimsical way, and we promise you will love it, especially if you are hosting a garden wedding.
Chunky Mixed Braid
Are you unsure whether to do a fishtail or a French braid? Do both, in our opinion! This one-of-a-kind braid, which begins as a plain braid and progresses to a fishtail braid, is ideal for both a quiet day at home and a wild night out. Apply texturizing spray to freshly washed and dried hair. Make a ponytail with your hair by brushing it all back. Simply flip your hair over your shoulder and braid it about one-third of the way down, dividing the three portions of your braid into two. Picking up strands from the outer half of one section and putting them to the inner part of the other section, fishtail braid those two sections. Finish by loosening the braid with your hands to give it additional texture and dimension after securing the end with a hairband. The result will be a gorgeous chunky mixed braid that will lend a fashionably undone twist to your look!
